Mr Bryan Granshaw

Precision Agronomis, Vantage NEA

Bryan was born and bred on his family Sugar Cane property, located 100 km west of Ayr, and worked as a fourth-generation farmer until 2015. He then joined the Vantage NEA team as a Precision Agronomist, taking charge of Trimble’s new Soil Information System (SiS) technology, which he has developed to work effectively on broad scale farming operations using 30 metre resolutions. Bryan has been a recognised leader of precision agriculture, winning the 2010 National Farmer Federation Farmer of the Year award, for operating an effective, technologically advanced farming system with low environmental impacts. He was also a 2013 Nuffield Scholar, completing a report on how to implement intercropping on commercial operations.
